Meet The Team
Owner and Multi-Author Series Bossy Boss
Lauren Helms is no novice when it comes to books. She got her start in the publishing industry working at Penguin Random House within their video game strategy imprint, Prima Games. There she focused her time on supporting the marketing and sales teams with her main priority on social media. During her time at PRH, and under her management, she grew the imprint’s Facebook page to more than 46k fans in under 18 months by keeping content fresh and exciting.
In 2014, Lauren established a multi-contributor book blog, which focused mainly on romance, where she read an average of 150 books a year. Starting way back in 2017, she started working on the publicity side of both traditional and independent publishing. After co-owning PR company with her author bestie, Forever Write PR, she ultimately decided to open her own company (with the support of her still best-author-friend), Indie Pen PR, LLC in early 2021.
Lauren’s immersion in the publishing industry doesn’t stop there, however. She is also a romance author. Readers can enjoy her Gamer Boy and 425 Madison Ave series’, as well as her entry in the Cocky Hero Club, Cocky Gamer, all in Kindle Unlimited.
Lauren has a BS in Public Relations and Marketing and is based in Indianapolis. She enjoys spending time with her family (mom of three), reading, writing, baking, making lists of all the shows on Netflix she’ll never have time to watch, and if you need to track her down, she can usually be found on Facebook.
Fantastical Publicist and Blogger Relations Rockstar
Amy Bosica is no stranger to the book world. She fell in love with the written word in 2013 and hasn’t looked back. If anything her passion for books has only grown stronger. Amy fell in love with Young Adult books such as Twilight and Divergent. She quickly discovered that there were a ton of books and genres that she had been missing out on. Her tastes grew from YA to NA/Adult reads. For Amy, variety is key and as long as she finds it interesting, Amy will read just about anything. She loves a happy ending and looks forward to what adventure she can get her hands on next. She had no idea that what started off as a simple hobby to escape the craziness of being a stay-at-home mom, would turn into an opportunity of a lifetime.
In 2014, Amy joined Once Upon a Book Blog. Being a contributor for Once Upon a Book Blog gave her the opportunity to not only talk about the books she loved, but also let her talk with like-minded people. Nothing makes Amy happier than helping someone find their next great read. From there, Amy learned the ins and outs of social media and got to work with some of her favorite authors. From Beta Reading to moderating author groups, and attending book signings; Amy couldn’t get enough of the book world. Amy’s passion for books and helping people has led her to the next chapter of her life starting her publicity focus with Forever Write PR before continuing her work with Indie Pen PR.
Amy lives in Colorado and has been married for 18 years. Her two daughters love to shake things up and keep her world interesting. When Amy isn’t reading or hanging out at home, you can usually find her exploring the beauty that is Colorado with her family and their two dogs.

Extraordinary Publicist
A bibliophile from birth, Kate Stacy has always had a deep passion for reading and spends many late nights devouring books until the early hours of the morning. Kate grew up reading books like The Babysitter’s Club and Goosebumps, then discovered Young Adult books such as Divergent and House of Night. Over the years, her tastes have expanded, but one thing that hasn’t changed is her love of falling head over heels for new books. Currently, romance is her jam, but she enjoys reading a little of everything and is obsessed with all things fantasy and paranormal.
After nearly a decade of being a stay-at-home mom, in 2018, Kate decided to combine her creative mind and her love of books and began writing her first novel. She published her first book, Long Road Home in 2019. As a contemporary romance author, she brings readers steamy, emotionally-gripping stories. Her novels feature sassy heroines, swoony heroes, life, love, friendship, and all the angst. Readers can enjoy her Stars Align and Love & Liquor series’, as well as her standalones and multi-author projects.
Kate spent years extremely active in the book world as a reader. She took every opportunity to Beta read, review ARCs, join street teams, and discover new authors. After becoming an author herself, she found she loved the marketing aspect of publishing and enjoys helping other authors expand their reach. As a publicist, she’s passionate about helping authors get their books out into the world and into readers’ hands.
Kate lives in North Carolina with her husband of 11 years, their three children, and her extremely moody cat. Her kids keep her on her toes with constant chaos and lots of laughs. Though she has a BS in Business Administration and Marketing, Kate is a creative type at heart and enjoys writing, drawing, cake decorating, and photography. When she’s not nose-deep in her next manuscript or spending time with her family, you can usually find her with her Kindle in hand reading the latest releases from her favorite authors.
Spectacular Publicist and Social Media Aficionado
Casey Ragghianti has been an avid book lover her entire life. Through school and college, where she earned a BS in Psychology from the University of Mary Washington, books were always her safe place to escape and relax. Casey loves magical realism, memoirs, thrillers, and closed and open-door romance, specifically indie romance. She is known for reading multiple books simultaneously as long as they are in different formats and genres. Her preferred method of reading has recently become audiobooks, then physical paperbacks, followed by ebooks. She needs help with DNFing books and cannot stand dog-eared pages or stickers on covers. Casey has never cried from a book but is open to emotional suggestions.
Casey joined the nook of Instagram called Bookstagram and found her people and much more. What started as posting book reviews, pretty book stacks, and participating in buddy reads quickly morphed into joining ARC and street teams for indie authors. She is now a respected alpha and beta reader who helps with edits of all kinds, along with publicity and marketing. Casey loves building community on Bookstagram and hosting daily reading sprints, engagement groups, and bimonthly reading relays. Casey is excited to dive in and grow even more in the book world with Indie Pen PR.
Casey lives in Virginia and is the owner and baker of Bookshelf Bakery. She is an aunt to her twin niece and nephew and a dog mom of Nala (chocolate lab) and Otter (dalmatian). Casey is a lifelong fan of hockey, specifically the Washington Capitals. She loves to go hiking by water and explore breweries. Her vice is drinking coffee all day, every day—black coffee, hot or iced, and a tall flat white with coconut milk, extra hot.
